You don't need a clean house, a perfect 'after baby' body, or hours of prep time for perfect newborn photos. All you need is love and connection and a little bit of trust. When you look back, what do you want to remember? For me, its the way my 3 week old baby looks into my eyes, scanning my face for familiarity. It's the way my toddler has taken on the big sister role and so lovingly brings me a clean diaper stacked upon the mess of toys in the corner of the room. It's the way my body looks and feels after 9 amazing (and often) hard months of carrying precious life inside of me. These are the moments I want to capture.
